Lautner Challenged To Push-Up Contest To Settle Lawsuit
Actor TAYLOR LAUTNER has been challenged to a charity push-up contest to settle his legal battle with a trailer company.
The Twilight star filed suit against MCMahon's RV earlier this month (Aug10) claiming the firm failed to deliver a vehicle for use on the set of his new movie Abduction on time.
He is suing for breach of contract and fraud and is seeking unspecified damages for "emotional distress" and "annoyance".
Company owner Brent MCMahon has now spoken out about the lawsuit - and is calling on the teenager to settle the legal dispute with a push-up contest.
MCMahon has vowed to hand over $40,000 (£26,000) to Lautner if the actor wins the challenge - but if the car dealer is the champion he's pledged to hand the cash over to charity.
During a press conference on Monday (30Aug10), MCMahon told reporters, "We're taking a negative and making it into a positive to benefit the sick children at Children's Hospital of Orange County."
