2010 MTV VMAs: Lady GaGa Makes a Splash, Selena Gomez Wows

Also among those stealing attention on the white carpet of this year's Video Music Awards are Katy Perry with her nude-colored dress and Justin Bieber with his semi formal get-up.

Nearly 600 feet of white carpet were rolled out in front of the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 12 to welcome music stars and other celebrities coming to this year's MTV VideoMusic Awards. Among those who managed to turn heads upon arriving were Lady GaGa and Selena Gomez.

A collector of 13 nominations, 24-year-old GaGa went with an exquisite look for the special night. She donned rust-colored gown with taffeta detailing and a religious image on it from Alexander McQueen. The "Bad Romance" hitmaker completed her look with a gold feathered mohawk and a blue highlighted hair.

18-year-old Selena, on the other hand, wowed the crowd gathering with her goddess look. The songstress, who has expressed her support for teen heartthrob Justin Bieber to win his first Moonman earlier, drew screams when she hit the white carpet in a silver strapless gown with blue sequin detailing.

Justin himself got to show his sleek side on the white carpet. A nominee for Best New Artist, he came in donning a pair of super skinny black jeans with a black T-shirt under a tuxedo vest. The 16-year-old pop sensation arrived together with his mentor Usher, who was also covered from head-to-toe in black tux, and was seen hugging fellow Canadian Drake.

"Teenage Dream" singer Katy Perry also stole attention. Keeping her white carpet look sexy, the 25-year-old who is up for Best Female Video and Best Pop Video wore a nude-colored dress with black lace detailing and a white skirt by Marchesa. She accessorized her dress with Jimmy Choo shoes, Swarovski clutch, Sutra earrings, and a black diamond ring from M.C.L.

Also looking beautiful were "Twilight Saga" beauty Ashley Greene and "Easy A" star Emma Stone. 23-year-old Ashley, who is set to present, glammed up with her Giambattista Valli dress, Jimmy Choo shoes and Ofira jewelry, while 21-year-old Emma rocked the white carpet with a black leather number from Pucci. She finished her look with Neil Lane jewelry and Giuseppe Zanotti Design shoes.

Many of the male stars coming to the special event sport a leathery outfit. VMA nominee Jason Derulo styled up with a leather jacket and black skinny jeans, while "True Blood" hunk Joe Manganiello heated up the white carpet with a leather jacket on top of fitting black shirt. Also going with leather jacket was "Gossip Girl" actor Penn Badgley.
