Pop singer and actor Miley Cyrus has sparked a debate on whether the hallucinogenic drug salvia is a medical wonder or a vicious hell-weed that transforms teens into chortling zombies

Several weeks after Miley Cyrus turned 18 last month, a video surfaced showing the pop singer and actor celebrating her adulthood with uncontrollable laughter, garbled speech and a shapely bong. It was neither marijuana nor hashish in the pipe, she explained in the face of public furor, but Salvia divinorum, a powerful hallucinogenic that adults can legally use in California.
The controversy involving Cyrus, the former child star from Hannah Montana, has led to new interest in this psychoactive Mexican herb. Google searches for “salvia” in the United States spiked 600 percent in the days that followed, Twitter went aflutter, and Saturday Night Live spoofed the incident last weekend.
However inadvertent, salvia now has a celebrity endorsement. Since the video was leaked, Black Myst Smoke Shop, a store in Los Angeles that sells the drug by the gram for US$10 to US$60, has seen a surge in business.
“We used to sell one or two a day,” said Steve Kinsman, an employee of the shop. “Now it’s 10 or 15. We’ll get a bunch of young people coming in, then a creepy 40-year-old who’s obviously a Miley fan.”
Once the domain of Mazatec shamans in Oaxaca, Mexico, Salvia divinorum — a name that means “divining sage” — has spent the last decade crawling from stoner novelty to the fringes of the mainstream. Evidence of its popularity is online: A YouTube search for “salvia” reveals thousands of clips showing young people cackling, moaning and tripping out of their gourds under the herb’s influence.
“After two or three hits, I spat everywhere and was coughing and laughing and drooling,” said Lee, a 22-year-old from Brooklyn who tried the drug while attending a university in upstate New York, and who requested that only his first name be used for anonymity. “I started yelling random words, then my legs gave out, and I dropped to the floor.”
While the intense, 15-minute highs are often described as otherworldly, it’s not an experience that everyone is eager to repeat, or try. Several states have banned the herb because of its psychoactive effects; several more have set limits on possession or consumption. Meanwhile, the Drug Enforcement Administration deems it a “drug of concern” rather than a controlled substance.

The freshly-found picture has the 'Can't Be Tamed' singer sitting on a couch in her sports bra while her alleged assistant pretends to lick her breast.

Miley Cyrus is seemingly unable to shake off scandal that follows her around these days. Just a few weeks after video of her smoking from a bong made media headlines, the "Can't Be Tamed" singer has a picture of her and an alleged assistant engaging in some raunchy girl-on-girl action being leaked out.

In the freshly-found photo, the 18-year-old songstress takes a seat on a black leather sofa in her black sports bra, and puts her arm around the girl's waist. Her black spandex dress was already pulled down. While she gives a startled expression to the camera, her gal pal poses as if she licks the left front portion of her bra.

Miley isn't the only Disney star who recently has her scandalous photos surfacing. Days earlier, racy images of "Sonny with a Chance" star Demi Lovato came out. One picture captures her posing in a bra with a naughty little smile, while in another one, she gets some helps from her female friends in exposing her cleavage.

As for Miley's bong video scandal, it was reported that the footage was taken by close friend Anna Oliver at a party held at the "Hannah Montana" star's Los Angeles home on November 28. TMZ claimed that she was smoking a natural herb called salvia, which has psychedelic qualities. After taking a hit, she was heard saying, "OK I'm about to lose it now. I'm having a little bit of a trip right now."

It wasn’t too long ago that Demi Lovato was riding high and seemed to be living a dream life. She had a successful acting and singing career, many loving fans and a reputation for being a nice, generous person. She was dating a Jonas brother and the world was her oyster. Now Demi Lovato is in rehab, battling online rumors, leaked racy photos and has the possibility of being mentored by the original Disney train wreck, Britney Spears

. At first it was thought she was suffering from exhaustion or some kind of medical issue. But things changed as allegations that she cut herself, had drug/alcohol problems and serious emotional issues started to surface.
Part of Demi Lovato’s image is that she is a devout Christian and is saving herself for marriage. So when risqué photos of her having other girls fondle her boobs while she wore a very low cut shirt leaked this last week some people were shocked. Now X17 (one of the largest paparazzi photography companies in the world) claims that a raunchy video featuring Lovato could leak any day. Disney, of course, denies its existence and says that anyone who would suggest such a tape exists while Demi Lovato is in rehab is simply disgusting. X17, however, says that Lovato, who was 18 at the time, videotaped herself getting it on with a young man over the summer. This happened on her tour bus while her uncle made sure nobody else got on the bus.
Disney reps are saying all of the Demi Lovato rumors are false. They claim that the person X17 says guarded the entrance to the bus is someone who never traveled with the tour and would never be a chaperone. Until we actually see a tape, or real evidence that a Demi Lovato tape exists, it is a case of one side saying it exists and another side saying it doesn’t. One thing I think we can say for sure is that a lot of these Disney stars turn out to not be as innocent as they appear to be so I would not be shocked to find out any of them had any kind of wild stuff going on behind closed doors while they sell an image of purity and innocence to their audience.

The awards season announcements keep on coming. This week, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences released its list of songs eligible for the Best Original Song Oscar. Some names on the list are no surprise such as Alan Menken, the Tangled composer, who is probably running out of room on his mantle for Oscars. But there is one name on there you might not expect: Justin Bieber. Bieber may just be able to add winning an Oscar to his list of things "I've done before the age of 20."

Justin Bieber may win an Oscar. Whether you think that's wonderful or one of the first signs of the impending apocalypse, it's certainly news.
This week, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences released its list of the 41 songs eligible for a Best Original Song award. The rules for the award state that the song must "consist of words and music, both of which are original and written specifically for the film," and "a clearly audible, intelligible, substantive rendition of both lyric and melody must be used in the body of the film, or as the first music cue in the end credits."
It looks like Bieber's duet with Jaden Smith for The Karate Kid, Never Say Never, fits in those guidelines. Aw, wouldn't it be cute if they gave them both little teeny tiny Oscars like the ones they gave Walt Disney for Snow White? Just kidding guys!
Bieber and Smith are competing against the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow, who is nominated for two of her songs from Country Strong, Cher and Christina Aguilera's offerings from Burlesque, and songs from Toy Story 3 and the Alan Menken-composed Tangled. Looks like they have some stiff competition.

Poor Demi Lovato can't dodge the negative news even while she's in rehab trying to get better. Instead she seems to be following the same playbook for ruining a young life and reputation that Miley Cyrus and so many other young stars follow. The latest chapter: Take racy photos of yourself -- bonus points for girl-on-girl action -- which are sure to get leaked on Twitter.
The photos taken prior to rehab and released this week show Lovato pulling down her shirt and baring some admittedly impressive cleavage while the other girls ogle them. In another she's licking a girl's face. Tamer than Miley's bare crotch, but provocative nonetheless for a Disney darling.
Interestingly enough, Alex Welch -- the girl Lovato allegedly sucker punched in the face because she thought Welch leaked stories about her -- is in these pics. So how exactly did these new pics get released? Hmmmm ...
Welch is suing Lovato to for the punch, and has taken to television recently to talk about the incident and play the innocent victim. Whether she is or not, going on television to talk about it just reeks of publicity whoredom.

Others have speculated the pics were perhaps leaked by someone close to Miley Cyrus in retalitation for Lovato's friend Anna Oliver supposedly leaking Miley's bong shot photos. Basically, who knows? And it doesn't matter much anyway, because they're already out there.
Rehab or not, Lovato's drama shows no signs of waning either. Rumor has it that a sex tape she made this summer with some guy and will be released soon. Since she didn't turn 18 until August, there's a big legal question there that could erupt if it does surface.
It's difficult to be shocked by new sex pics and tapes anymore, because it seems everyone in Hollywood does them these days (and then acts shocked when they get out there), but it doesn't make it any less of a desperate cry for attention and often a sign that help is needed as well.

Selena Gomez has spoken out in defence of fallen teen stars Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato, saying that "people make mistakes".

2010 has seen both Miley and Demi fall from grace as they lost their squeaky clean reputations. Demi ended up in rehab after punching a dancer, while Miley unveiled a sexy new image and had her world shattered when a video of her smoking salvia from a bong was leaked.



But Selena thinks that people shouldn't be hard on teen stars, because they're kids and still learning what they like and don't like.

"It's a very hard business and I feel like people don't really understand what we go through," Selena told US radio station KIIS 108. "We're kids. People make mistakes. People have to figure out what we like and don't like."

But Selena plans to stay out of trouble, thanks to the support of her family.

"I have a great family," Selena explains, "I have parents that treat me like a normal kid. I know that I have a responsibility (to her fans)."

Actress Selena Gomez has revealed that she has no plans to go to college, according to OMG Music.

Although she has graduated with her high school diploma, she is too busy to continue her education.

“It's always something I've thought about,” she said.

“When you're younger you obviously thing you're going off to college when you graduate. But I think because I'm so obsessed with my job - I love acting, I love music, I love touring - all of that doesn't really give me the time to do it.”

The Wizards of Waverly Place actress, who has enjoyed success on TV, in film and as a singer, did not rule it out however.

She added: “At the moment I'm not thinking about it, but who knows in the future I might.”

Last week, it was reported that Justin, 16, and Selena, 18, shared a meal at a Philadelphia IHOP, and today talk show host Wendy Williams tweeted a photo that seemed to show the pair sitting closely together on the same side of a booth. Another pic surfaced online that appeared to show them leaving the restaurant arm-in-arm.
Selena downplayed questions about the get-together, telling MTV News, "It was pancakes. Who doesn't like pancakes?" She further explained, "We were both performing in the same place so we went and had pancakes together. That's all it is. All innocent."

By now I’m sure you’ve seen the video of  Miley Cyrus smoking salvia (allegedly) out of a bong. Even though the substance is currently legal to possess in California the incident has stirred up a heated debate – do state and federal governments need to push for an “outright ban”? Get the scoop below.

I expected this to happen from the moment I watched the now infamous ‘Miley Cyrus Bong Video’. In fact this is probably the chance that CA State Assemblyman Anthony Adams has been waiting for to push his failed bill from 2007 to outlaw the drug back into the spotlight.

According to Perez Hilton, Adams called the Disney starlet irresponsible for using the substance. Why? Because he claims it can cause a person to do “incredibly crazy things”. Also, he elaborated further by saying the starlets young fan base might “emulate her behavior”.
Parents across the globe are also concerned about Miley’s influence over their children. As you may recall this isn’t the ‘Party in the USA’ singers first scandal. Some are questioning (TMZ) if Cyrus is a L.I.T. – Lindsay in Training… What do you think?
Another concerned parent is her father, Billy Ray Cyrus. After seeing the video of his daughter partaking in the partakeables yesterday he voiced his concern via Twitter. He wrote, “I’m so sad”.

Miley Cyrus is definitely all grown up, she has been named as one of the most provocative stars of 2010.

Miley joined the ranks of Lindsay Lohan, Mel Gibson and Charlie Sheen in the CNN report, which asks which celebrities have provoked the most continuous shock and outrage and who had the most lasting impact.

Miley’s entry reads: “Miley spent 2010 hell-bent on destroying her squeaky-clean “Hannah Montana” image. How many homes did you have at 18-years-old? Probably not as many as rebel pop queen Miley Cyrus.

TMZ reports that in addition to her lavish Los Angeles family estate, Cyrus secretly bought a $1.8 million Florida beach house last year.

The outlet reports that the waterfront home has four bedrooms, a fitness room, a cinema room, and plenty of outdoor space for having fun in the sun.

Cyrus has reportedly said she will live with her dad, country superstar Billy Ray, in their L.A. digs until she is at least 20 years old.

According to Seventeen magazine, the $6.2 million L.A. home is a Mediterranean-style estate with five-bedrooms, lots of closet space, and of course entertaining space for the whole family.

Twilight Saga heartthrob Taylor Lautner admits that he is terrified of his own fans. He recently explained why he is and in a way, he shows what the downside is to be a megastar. Here are his words regarding his fear of fans.

In Brazil hundreds of fans stormed the hotel Kristen Stewart and I were in. We hid in this little room for 45 minutes waiting for the SWAT team to arrive. We said to each other, ‘What if they get into this room? They’ll tear us to shred!
I was just in Australia at a fan event with a red carpet and there were 4000 fans and I was walking down the line. The fans like to hold out their hands or their arms for you to sign and one arm had a massive tattoo of the wolf pack. The real one, the same exact thing and it was pretty cool. She was like, ‘Can you sign it?’ I said sure and I signed right underneath it and the next day someone told me that the girl got my signature tattooed right under the wolf pack tattoo. I don’t know whether to say that’s cool or that I feel bad that I signed her arm. But that’s definitely some passion there.

Wow, I can sort of see why Taylor is scared of them! Sometimes you do hear of crazed fans and what they can do to their favorite celebrities. Do you think he is strange to be scared of his own fans or does he have a good enough reason to do such?

Miley is definitely older. She turned 18 last month. But is she any wiser? We really hope so! After posting provocative photos of herself when she was only 15, Miley surely won’t think of posting nude photos of herself now that she’s of legal age right?
Miley’s camp is in an uproar right now because of a nude photo that the website ZackTaylor.ca posted. Miley says that the photo is fake and that it is not her. There really is no way of knowing because it only showed a woman’s body from the chin down.
It showed a woman with curly blond hair, wearing an open plaid shirt exposing her breasts and crotch in the process.

In the investigation that ensued after the photo surfaced, it was found out that the woman in the picture was a British woman.
And although it’s been established that the woman in the photo wasn’t Miley, the Disney star is still considering legal action against the abovementioned website

Not a day goes by that a Hollywood celebrity or wanna-be is exposed on the internet. Sex tapes, stolen nude pics, public nudity, magazine poses, the list goes on. Anything to satisfy the insatiable desires of starstruck fans ... and perverts.
The younger and popular they are, the more likely the rave. Unscrupulous rumor mongers are always preying on these stars with the purpose of popularizing their blogs. Nothing like nude photos of celebrities to attract visitors to one's website.
Recently, it was a fake semi-nude pic of Harry Potter actress Emma Watson. Now, Hannah Montana star and singer, Miley CyrusMiley Cyrus is alleged to have posed naked for a self-taken photo using her iPhone. The photos were supposedly taken from her mobile phone which was stolen recently.
The 18-year-old singer is used to dressing provocatively on stage and now sites are claiming that she also sends nude pics of herself to her friends. The nude photo in question shows a woman standing at a bathroom door, wearing nothing but an open plaid shirt, phone in hand used to take the photo.
Having seen a censored version of the pic, I must say its credibility is questionable, especially since her face is not visible. However, many sites are determined to "prove" that the pictures are real. One such site is http://bit.ly/gZXSU1
Miley's representatives have denied the photos are real and legal action is being considered. Since the photos were alleged to have been taken in Madrid before her 18th birthday, she was underaged then, and posting the pics would be illegal. Whoever posted the pics may be in trouble soon and probably broke by the time Mileys lawyers get through with him.

TWILIGHT star Taylor Lautner has had to cope with a whole new world since shooting to stardom as one corner of the hottest teen love triangle of the decade.
Taylor, who plays werewolf Jacob in the series, has become a firm favourite among the Twi-hards, the super-dedicated teen fans who obsess over every element of the books and the films they spawned.
He refuses to criticise the fans, who seem to verge on the obsessive, but does admit it can get a little intense.
He sighed: "I wouldn't say they're weird but they're definitely passionate. Funny.
"I was just in Australia at a fan event with a red carpet and there were 4000 fans and I was walking down the line.

In the face of such adulation, it would be difficult for anyone to keep a level head - let alone when the actor is a lad of just 18.
But Taylor appears to have a sensible head on his shoulders and is at pains to stay grounded.
He says it's all about remembering his job is just that, adding: "It definitely is about surrounding yourself with your family and friends you've known forever.
"I live, all of us do, in two different worlds and they're opposites. This is our job.
"We go to work and we live in this business world and then we go back to our regular world and we do the same things we did before.
"I sit at home. It's not that exciting and I watch American Idol every Tuesday and Wednesday. I spend time with my family and friends. Maintaining that world is extremely important to me."
Like all stars, he finds being followed by paparazzi everywhere he goes irritating.
But he has found ways to give them the slip and enjoy a little privacy in public. He said: "There are a million more pros than cons. The privacy thing is different.
"It's usually not normal to wake up and have 12 paparazzi cars waiting outside to follow you to Starbucks.
"Sometimes it becomes aggravating but you have to tell yourself that this comes with the job and what you're getting out of it on the other side is worth it and you just can't - sometimes it's hard - let them affect you that much or it'll drive you insane.
"Maintaining sanity is pretty important to me. You've got to push that stuff aside. It's never normal.
"You can be creative. It's a matter of choosing where you go - a mall probably not. A movie theatre probably not.
"But I have my hangouts, the good lowkey restaurants, and sometimes you're just like, 'I don't care. I want to go bowling and I'm going to do it.'
"You do it and, sure enough, it's a little hectic but you have fun and then you go back home and go, 'I'm not going bowling for a while.'"
The latest Twilight film, Eclipse, released on DVD on Monday, sees Taylor's character take centre stage as the love triangle between him, Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson) cranks up several notches.
And Taylor enjoyed the development of his role: "Jacob matures quite a bit because he's been dealing with his new self.
"He's got to know his new self and the situations he's been put in romantically.
"He deals with a lot and becomes frustrated because he gets this close all the time and then gets told no over and over again. So that's a bummer for him.
"The hardest thing I've found in working with Rob is that usually I have to hate him in scenes and that's difficult.
"He's such a funny and nice guy. So we're doing a scene where we're yelling and screaming at each other and he's slapping my shoulder and I'm shoving him off of me and we're screaming, spitting in each other's faces and then, as soon they call cut, we just bust out laughing."
The pair are at the heart of one very funny and intense scene as they huddle up with Bella in a tent in a blizzard - Edward can't keep her warm as he is cold blooded, but Jacob can.
So Edward has to watch his girlfriend snuggle up to his hated rival.
Taylor said: "The tent scene is really good because it has that intensity but it's also humorous.
"I got the line, 'I'm hotter than you' then. Keeping a straight face was a tough thing.
"I loved the line. I thought, 'This is going to be so hard to deliver and especially with a straight face.' "I'm looking at Rob in the eyes as he's staring at me with that Edward look."
Taylor famously spends much of the film shirtless - in fact there is speculation he must have a contract stipulating no tops.
But he admits trying to maintain his physique between the films is a nightmare.
Sometimes he just wants to pig out. He said: "Occasionally, I really want some ice cream but when it comes closer to the time of filming or you have a magazine photo-shoot then you really just have to stay strong and cut it out.
"The most interesting thing I've found is that it's just as hard to maintain it as it was to put it on in the first place.
"If I'm really busy and I can't get into the gym or don't have time to eat, you lose it like that and it takes 10 times the amount of time to put it back on again. So it's tough."
Next up for Taylor is Abduction, followed, hopefully, by the Stretch Armstrong toy movie.
"Abduction is about a high school senior who finds a picture of himself on a missing person's website and realises his whole life has been a lie.
"It can't be nonsense. Action has to make sense. That's in the story behind it and so I'm super excited to get going on that.
"Maybe I'll be a superhero like a year from now.
"They're doing all the designing and writing the script, so we haven't seen any finalised version but it might be different.
"The cool thing with the toys is that there is no story. With a superhero, you have to stay along with those lines. But a toy, you get to create everything which is super exciting and creative."

The 18-year-old actress said it's something that they both want to do, but it never quite happens.
Appearing on Live! With Regis And Kelly she said, 'We have yet to do that and it really bothers us. It does.'
'It's so funny. It's either one way or the other. She'll have someone or I won't or I will and she won't. We're never quite there.'
But she insisted that despite their fame, she still manages to do normal things with Taylor.
'We go to the movies, go get yoghurt, go to dinner, hang out and go to the mall.
'It doesn't really stop us. We're very appreciative of our fans and will stop and take pictures.'

Yahoo has released its annual “Year in Review” report, a dive into the top searches and search trends on the world’s second largest search engine.
The report, released every year by the Internet giant, determines what queries topped user interest based on search volume and search growth to figure out what was hot in 2010.
Last year, Michael Jackson and Twilight topped Yahoo’s search rankings, while Megan Fox was the queen of Yahoo mobile searches in 2009. This year though, Michael Jackson and Megan Fox didn’t even make their respective lists. Replacing them instead were searches for the BP oil spill and, on mobile, the NFL.
The top ten searches on Yahoo in 2010 include six celebrities (Miley Cyrus clocks in at #3), one gadget (the iPhone at #6), one TV show (American Idol at #9, one sporting event (the World Cup at #2) and one manmade disaster (the BP oil spill at #1).
Mobile searches shared five of the same top ten, but also included the NFL (#1), Rihanna (#3), Sanda Bullock (#4), the NBA (#5) and the Winter Olympics (#9).
There were a lot of other interesting tidbits of information that we gleamed from Yahoo’s massive array of top searches. For example, “how to tie a tie” tops the list of most searched questions on Yahoo (beating “how to kiss” at #3 and “what’s the world’s only immortal animal” at #5). Oh, and Yahoo users are searching for the lyrics to Justin Bieber’s “Baby” more than any other song in the world.
In fact, there’s so much search data in this year’s list that the company commissioned JESS3 to create a nice infographic to summarize the company’s findings. He added that Miley is already so popular so he does not think she needs to shed clothes for ‘Playboy’ to attract her fans.

He thinks Miley should not do it now because she is very young and has the much deserved fan following. So, does it mean that Miley is shown ‘no-entry’ in the ‘Playboy’ zone? Well, it was Hefner’s version but we will expect to hear Miley's version if she is really interested to pose for the Men’s magazine.

The Disney beauty reportedly celebrated her 18th birthday on November 23 by having a dinner with her ex-boyfriend and a source says, 'They can't deny their special relationship with each other.'

After having new rumored lover Avan Jogia at her pre-birthday bash, Miley Cyrus was reportedly accompanied by her old flame, Liam Hemsworth, when she officially turned 18 on Tuesday, November 23. According to X17 Online, Miley and Liam spent Tuesday night together at sushi restaurant Matsuda in the San Fernando Valley.

Miley and Liam allegedly had a casual dinner with a group of friends. Of the gathering, a source told the site, "Miley was relaxed and having fun and of course there was a connection between her and Liam. They dated for so long and were so serious it's like they can't deny their special relationship with each other."

Though so, Miley and Liam managed to avoid being photographed together. While the Australian heartthrob left the restaurant through the back door, the "LOL: Laughing Out Loud" actress and her pals met the paparazzi outside the venue to distract them.

Despite the dinner, there has been no word on whether or not Miley and Liam are back together. Following their second split earlier this month, Miley has been romantically linked to Avan. The two were recently photographed engaged in a heavy make-out session. Liam himself was also spotted getting cozy with model Yolanda Vendy at a nightclub in Melbourne.

Miley Cyrus didn't wait until she officially turns 18 on Tuesday, November 23 to act like an adult. During a birthday bash at Hollywood club Trousdale, the Disney star was photographed engaged in a heavy makeout session with teen star Avan Jogia on Sunday night, November 21.

In a picture obtained by Us Magazine, Miley was seen leaning up against a banquette with Avan pressing on top of her and seductively nuzzling her neck. In addition to the racy act, Miley was wrapped in a sultry outfit too. The "Who Owns My Heart" singer donned a black leather bikini top and skin-tight trousers.

An onlooker told the site that Miley "was so busy dancing and hanging with her friend". The "Hannah Montana" star, accompanied by Ke$ha, was said dancing to Pink's new hit single "Raise Your Glass" that brought "everyone out on the dance floor." Miley reportedly stayed at the club until around 3 A.M.

And the Trousdale party might not be the last celebration of Miley's birthday. During an appearance at 2010 American Music Awards, she told Access Hollywood, "I have a birthday month. I do the whole month of November. Thanksgiving, cake - (it's) all about me on Thanksgiving!"

As for Miley and Avan, the two have been romantically linked lately. A source told Hollywood Life that the ex-girlfriend of Liam Hemsworth has "been hanging out and getting closer" with Avan. Back in October, the two were spotted grabbing lunch together and later attending a Halloween party.

The Hannah Montana star arrived at the ceremony in a gorgeous white backless Marchesa mini dress, complete with a long train.
Teamed with Christian Louboutin 'Maralena' heels and Neil Lane jewel, the teen smiled broadly as she posed on the red carpet outside Downtown Los Angeles' Nokia Theatre.

This is not the first time the Disney star has aired her love for the X Factor judge, whos album Messy Little Raindrops reached number one in the charts.

In a previous trip to the UK, Selena revealed that Cheryl’s music got her through a tough film role and she did a cover of the singers single, Parachute, in her UK tour.

While chatting about the new season of 'Wizards of Waverly Place', the Disney darling shares her admiration of the 'Transformers' actor, describing him as a funny man whom she can relate to.

Selena Gomez has nothing but praise when it comes to Shia LaBeouf. When asked in a recent interview about which kid actors she admires in the acting world, the "Wizards of Waverly Place" star was quick to name the star of the "Transformers" series. "For me, the person that I really admire because they came from this Disney world would be Shia LaBeouf," she told Entertainment Tonight.

On the reason why, the 18-year-old songstress pointed out, "He had his own show on Disney Channel. He was really funny and I loved his show. Then he started to do films. Now he is doing really great films and he is respected as an actor." She added, "I really like him a lot as an actor. I think he is cute, too, so that helps. I feel that I can relate to him the most."

During the interview, the "A Year Without Rain " singer further admitted, "I am not perfect. I am not the best person ever, but I try to be. It is something that I try to get across." When questioned whether she keeps the attitude in looking for the guy she wants to date, she responded, "I don't think about it because I don't want that to be a factor. When it is right, it will be right and it will just happen."
